Hi Travelers! My first topic this week happens to be my absolute favorite place to go... Jamaica! I've had the opportunity to go to this beautiful country twice!

2016

Since we stayed at an all-inclusive resort both times, I am not able to tell you my favorite places to eat. One of the most popular dishes that was served about every day for lunch on the beach, was jerk chicken. Jerk chicken is chicken slow cooked over a grill, marinated in jerk sauce and lots of seasoning. I'm not a big fan of chicken, so I didn't try it, but both of my parents did, and they loved it. I also tried lobster for the first time in Jamaica. So good!

One attraction we loved going to is in Negril. It's called Ricks Cafe and it is awesome! They have awesome food and really fun things to do. You can go cliff jumping off of 5 different platform heights. I was actually scared, so I only jumped off the 2nd one, which is only about 6 to 7 feet from the water. You can also sit and watch the sunset from the viewing area. Everyday, they have about 4-5 boats come in from surrounding cities to watch the beautiful sunset.

In my opinion, the worst things about these trips, was the flights there and back. I love going to new places, but flying is my least favorite part. It took about a whole day to get there, and another whole day back. The first time we went, we had a layover in Texas for four hours. The second time, we stopped in Charlotte for about an hour and a half. From both those locations, the flight into Montego Bay was about four to five hours.

If you are looking for a new place to go, I highly recommend looking into a city in Jamaica. You can learn a lot about the culture, even if you just stay at your resort. I will have more pictures posted in the images tab! Enjoy, and have a good week!
